The work analyses in great detail the four urban districts (S. Stefano, S. Giacono, S. Martino and S. Leonardo) which have been dividing the town since 1200. Here`s the new structure wanted by Francesco Gonzaga around 1400, that gave each district (with new names) five sections which represented twenty urban quarters, each with a particular blazon. The book is enriched with many pictures and a beautiful expounded town plan, together with the author`s study of the splendid "Palazzo del Te".
