Deputy from 1921, Terzaghi played an important role by carrying through the electoral reform which induced the victory of the national Fascist Party in 1924, while being a possible starting point for the liberal democracy. Pro-Mussolini, interned and then freed, but marginalized, Terzaghi narrated with biting style the Masonic vicissitudes at the beginning of the 20th century, while organizing one of the many Masonic societies of the post-war period. His disturbing memoirs, full of tasty anecdotes, above all on the collusion between lodges and the Fascist Party, summarize the contradictions of his age.
